The Barn

Room Description

The Barn is a grand, 3000 square foot structure of beautifully crafted wood inside and out. Its cathedral ceilings and wall of windows frame the redwoods immediately outside. The rustic yet elegant appointments include a very large stone fireplace, cathedral ceilings, and a second story balcony with intimate seating areas. The room is perfect for dining for up to 200 guests and is a perfect space for dancing the night away.

Amenities

There are 4 richly finished wood board room tables with 32 wooden ladder-back seats, 2 overstuffed love seats, a coffee table, a leather sofa. The Barn has a full sound system including a CD player, amplifier and PA. There is room for 200 guests seated at 60 inch rounds, 10 per table.

Kitchen

While cooking in the Barn is not permitted, there is a wonderful kitchen for preparation and warming. The kitchen has a gas stove, electric oven, sub-zero refrigerator/freezer, dual dishwashers, and a large sink.

Restrooms

There is one bathroom in the facility, and executive portable bathrooms are located just outside under the three story treehouse.

The Chapel/Amphitheater

This naturally occurring outdoors amphitheater tucked in the redwoods at the edge of the property's larger pond can seat up to 220 theater style. It is perfect for an outdoor meeting or gathering. At the edge of the pond, a beautiful arbor blooms with abundant foliage in summer creating an idyllic setting for a wedding. There are several "built-in" seating nooks spotted throughout the amphitheater, and ample stone floor space where additional seats may be placed. The amphitheater has a complete sound system, including a CD player, amplifier and PA, and is fully lighted for evening events.

Lawn Area

The grounds include a lovely lawn area perfect for elegant dining or picnic. This area may be set up with tables and chairs for outdoor dining accommodating up to 300 guests set up for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony.

Fantasy Garden and Cottage

The children's cottage is completely furnished in fairy tale-like child-scale furnishings, and is surrounded by beautiful topiaries and carousel animals. The meticulous design boasts leaded glass windows, a stone chimney and a cedar thatch roofline. Children will feel that they are right inside of their own fairy tale in this magical cottage. And if that is not rugged enough, there is a wonderful children's tree house on the property as well.

Nestdown Railroad

Your guests will be delighted to enjoy a ride around our property on the Nestldown Railway! Holding up to 20 guests at a time, your family and friends will be amused and excited while the train runs during the cocktail hour.

Sports

A full size, regulation court for tennis, volleyball, or basketball is available for your groups use. We also have a bocceball court and a baseball field.

London Taxi

Use of the 1964 London Taxi and the 6 passenger golf cart. This beautiful antique car is perfect for shuttling the bridal party around the expansive property. The golfcart is available for the transport of any guests who might be physically challenged.
